Evert has been employed by Equity Trust Co. nv in Amsterdam, The Netherlands as preparation for the subsequent employment by Equity Trust on Curaçao since 1990. From 1991 to 1995 he was employed by Equity Trust (Curaçao) N.V. as account manager, responsible for the internal and external administrative matters and supervising three employees. In 1996 he became Assistant Managing Director and proxyholder of Equity Trust (Curaçao) N.V., responsible for all internal and external administrative matters. In 1998 he became Managing Director of Equity Trust (Curaçao) N.V. in Curaçao, being a medium sized offshore company, entrusted with the management of a portfolio of several hundreds of companies (active as holding, finance, royalty, shipping, mutual funds, fund of funds) in the Netherlands Antilles, having 10 employees and a branch office in Aruba.

Since 2005 Evert is Regional Managing Director Caribbean and Americas of the Equity Trust Group, based in Curaçao, with besides operational responsibility for the Equity Trust companies in Curaçao, entrusted with the management of about 1,500 companies (active as holding, finance, royalty, shipping, mutual fund, fund of funds) in the Netherlands Antilles, having about 70 employees.
