Eric was born in The Netherlands in 1969 and graduated (cum laude) in 1994 at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands as a lawyer. In 1996, Eric moved to Curaçao where, as a legislation lawyer, he renewed the labour legislation of The Netherlands Antilles. Since 2000, he has worked in the financial services industry of Curaçao where he held several functions, first as an account manager with ING Trust and after that as Compliance Manager and Managing Director with Amicorp.

Since 2005, Eric works with ATC Corporate Services (Curaçao) N.V. as Managing Director. As of 2008, Eric represents CIFA in the CIWG and as a member of the MOT Advisory Board. As per April 2010, Eric joined the CIFA Board.
