Pieter is a Dutch national and resident of the Netherlands Antilles. He studied international finance in the United Sates and business economics in the Netherlands. In 1994, after completion of securities training courses and various fund administration courses in London and New York, he returned to Curacao.

Professional experiences include positions as financial controller with oil distribution and offshore contracting companies such as Aral GmbH, Hollandsche Aannemingsmaatschappij N.V. and Heerema Offshore Contractors N.V. Since 1996, Pieter has been a Managing Director of CMTC Capital Management & Trust Co. N.V., a multi family office and fund administration company established in Curacao, where he is responsible for the overall operation of the company and client relations.

Pieter currently holds a position as chairman of the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange Foundation and represents the Funds Industry Association of Curacao. He is also a board member of CIFA. He also co-published an article in Euromoney Hedge Fund & Alternative Investments Handbook in 2006.
